Event Information:

We will meet by the war memorial in Pensford. You will need to park somewhere in the village, and walk over to the memorial. The Somerset Three Peaks route takes you around Pensford, Clutton and Chew Magna and the 'peaks' are Maes Knoll, Knowle Hill and Blackberry Hill - it's reasonably challenging, although not nearly as severe as the Three Peaks in Yorkshire!

Approximate Distance: 28km

Approximate Elevation: 740m

Expected Terrain: Field trails and lots of mud

Run Leader: Joe Wenman & Jason Dickson

Entry Requirements: This is a difficult run expected to take 3-4 hours. It is suitable for experienced long distance runners only.

Essential Kit:

  • Trail running shoes
  • Head torch with spare batteries
  • Appropriate clothing for the weather
  • Waterproof jacket with taped seams
  • Warm layer in waterproof bag
  • At least 500ml of water
  • At least two food items (gels/bars/nuts/etc)
  • Hand sanitizer and face mask
  • Spare change of clothes in the car
  • Flask of hot drink or soup in the car

  • This event is limited to fifteen attendees
  • You must register on this page to attend
  • If your plans change, please revisit this page to cancel your attendance so another member can take your place
  • Do not attend this run if you are not medically well
  • You must socially distance at all BTR events
  • You must always listen to instructions and guidance provided by BTR run leaders
