About Bristol Trail Runners

BTR are an adventure running club suitable for all abilities, well known as a great community to make likeminded friends, push yourself, and develop your trail running skills. We are always having an adventure on the trails, currently averaging 30 club runs every month.

Founded in 2019, the club has thrived with over one thousand runners joining us at one point or another.

The club organises a grand collection of trail running events. Local club runs, further afield club runs, track sessions, mountain running camps and more. Members take advantage of attending all these events while also receiving discounts on almost any product or service related to running.

Joining a running club is a great way to socialise, keep fit and better your running skills as part of Bristol's adventure running community. Anyone is welcome to join BTR. Hit the button below or scroll down to read more about the club.

Club Events

With around 30 exciting club runs every month, you will be able to fully participate as a member of Bristol Trail Runners.

We do not have a fixed schedule and some runs change time, location, and day each week. This is how we keep everything even more adventurous! Generally, you can expect the following to be available every week:

  • 5k - 10k runs on Mondays at 7pm in locations such as Leigh Woods, Ashton Court, Clifton Downs, Trym Valley, Stoke Park and more.

  • A coached hills session every Tuesday evening suitable for all abilities.

  • 16k run every Wednesday at 6pm through Frome Valley.

  • Beginners evenings on Thursday evening. Around 5k, sometimes walk/run, on sections of our favourite routes. Ideal for trail newbies or anyone getting back into running. An easy lunch time run ech Thursday at 1pm.

  • A coached speed session every Friday at 6.30pm.

  • Various weekend long runs in locations like the Brecon Beacons, Dartmoor, Mendips, Quantocks, Wye Valley and more.

We also organise 3-4 running camps every year in locations like the Lake District, Dartmoor and Snowdonia (tickets for camps are sold separately).
