About Bristol Trail Runners
We’re an adventure running club for all abilities – a friendly, supportive space to meet likeminded people, push yourself, and grow your love for trail running.
Since we launched in 2019, over a thousand runners have joined us on the trails – from first-timers to ultra vets. These days, we host 30+ runs and events every month, from chilled 5Ks to big mountain days out.

Weekly Schedule
With 30+ exciting runs and events every month, there’s always something happening at Bristol Trail Runners – from weekly group sessions to big mountain days out.
We don’t follow a rigid timetable. Instead, our weekly schedule shifts in time, location and terrain to keep things fresh and adventurous. But here’s what you can usually expect:
Mondays – Easy 5–10K Trail Runs (7pm)
Relaxed, sociable evening runs in beautiful spots like Leigh Woods, Ashton Court, Clifton Downs, Trym Valley, Stoke Park and more.
Tuesdays – Coached Hill Sessions
Friendly, all-abilities sessions to build strength, technique, and confidence on the ups.
Wednesdays – Midweek Mileage
A steady 16K Frome Valley run (6pm)
Thursdays – Coached Speed Work (6.30pm)
Structured sessions focused on intervals, pace, and endurance – suitable for all levels.
Weekends – Longer Adventures
Big trail days across the Brecon Beacons, Dartmoor, Mendips, Quantocks, Wye Valley and beyond.
We also run 3–4 trail camps a year, heading to iconic spots like the Lake District, Snowdonia, Dartmoor and the Brecon Beacons.
(Camp tickets are sold separately – but members get early access and discounts.)
