About Bristol Trail Runners

Bristol Trail Runners is an adventure running club suitable for all abilities, from beginners to elite athletes. Founded in 2019 by Ultrarunner and Endurance Coach Joe Wenman, the club has thrived with over three hundred runners joining us at one point or another.

 

The club organises a grand collection of trail running events. Local club runs, further afield club runs, webinars, coached training sessions, running camps and more. Members take advantage of attending all of these events while also receiving discounts on almost any product or service related to running.

Club Events

With over 20 exciting club runs every month, you will be able to fully participate as a member of Bristol Trail Runners.

 

We do not have a fixed schedule and some runs change time, location and day each week. Generally, you can expect the following to be available every week:

  • 5k and 10k runs on Mondays or Thursdays at 7am or 6pm in locations such as Leigh Woods, Ashton Court, Clifton Downs, Trym Valley, Stoke Park and more. 

  • Coached fitness class every Tuesday at 6.30am or 6pm at Clifton Downs.

  • 16k run every Wednesday at 6pm through Frome Valley. 

  • Coached track session every Friday at 6.30pm at Yate Outdoor Fitness Centre.

  • Various long weekend runs in locations like the Brecon Beacons, Dartmoor, Mendips, Quantocks, Wye Valley and more.

We also organise 3-4 running camps every year in locations like the Lake District, Dartmoor and Snowdonia.

Couch To Trail 5k

If you are new to running and would like to give it a go, consider trying out our Couch To Trail 5k Course. We are currently midway through a course but the next one will start in January and will run for eight weeks.
