River Avon Trail 20k

Event Information:

One for the flat trail lovers! We will meet by the Clifton Observatory for 8am. The route will take us down to the river avon where we will follow the river trail to the Avonmouth Bridge. We will cross the bridge and then return following the River Avon Trail on the edge of Leigh Woods. You can park your car on many streets near the observatory in Clifton. 

Approximate Distance: 20km

Approximate Elevation: 110m

Expected Terrain: Mostly muddy trails

Run Leader: Joe Wenman

Entry Requirements: This will be a reletively fast 20k run, averaging at 5.00-5.30 per kilometre. It is flat, but muddy. 

Essential Kit:

• Trail running shoes
• Head torch with spare batteries
• Appropriate clothing for the weather
• Waterproof jacket with taped seams
• At least 500ml of water
• At least 2 food items (gels, bars, nuts, etc)
• Spare, warm change of clothes in the car
• Hand sanitizer and face mask

• This event is limited to fifteen attendees
• You must register on this page to attend
• If your plans change, please revisit this page to cancel your attendance so another member can take your place
• Do not attend this run if you are not medically well
• You must socially distance at all BTR events
• You must always listen to instructions and guidance provided by BTR run leaders
