About the Event
Following the incident at Crook Peak last year, where some of our runners encountered a medical emergency on the hill, Avon & Somerset Search & Rescue have kindly agreed to deliver a safety session for Bristol Trail Runners.
We’re incredibly proud of how BTR members responded on the day. Their actions were recognised by both the emergency services and the family involved. As a club, it felt important that we learn from that experience and use it as an opportunity to strengthen our knowledge and preparedness when running in remote places.
Trail running often takes us into environments where help may not be immediately available, and knowing what to do in the moment can make a real difference.
This evening will focus on practical outdoor safety, helping runners feel more confident about how to respond if something unexpected happens on the trails.
