Event Information:

Meeting point: Chepstow Castle Carpark, 1 Bridge St, Chepstow NP16 5EY.

Starting at Chepstow Castle, this is a 25km Woodland Trail run, taking in caves, hill top views and river back runs it’s a long run with 720m meters of elevation, some of it steep and tricky in parts. This event is not for beginners, you should only register for this if you are used to running 25km+ distances and can manage a 10km time of circa 55m. That’s not the pace of the run, it is simply a safety guide to ensure that we keep the group together throughout the run. The run should take around the 3hr mark, depending on the groups pace.

Approximate Elevation: 720m

Expected Terrain: Rocky and dirt trails

Run Leader: Jason Dickson

Entry Requirements: You should be an experienced hill runner to participate. This is a long and tough run.

Essential Kit:

  • Trail running shoes
  • Appropriate clothing for the weather
  • Waterproof jacket if necesarry
  • Minimum 1000ml of water
  • Some form of sodium in food or drink
  • Minimum 600kcal of food
  • Spare, warm change of clothes in the car
  • Spare food and drink in the car
  • Hand sanatizer and face mask
  • A fully charged phone

Recommended Extra Kit:

  • First Aid Kit
  • Foil Blanket
  • Trekking poles

  • You must register on this page to attend
